Ok,
So here I am...
My son has an Alienware Aurora R7 desktop
1080 GPU all the bells and whistles.
He also has a Del G7 15 laptop...
He is an avid gamer and live-streams on twitch.
So here is my question....
Can we connect the PC and the laptop in a configuration so that the PC runs his games and the Laptop will sit next to him and run the stream.
I have found multiple ways to setup up “dual desktops” for this application but I can’t seem to find ANYTHING that refers to doing this with a desktop and laptop....If you have experience with this or can provide exact instructions it would be much helpful.....thanks in advance!!!

you can't use the laptop as a 2nd screen as it's video port (albeit HDMI, VGA, DP or DVI) is an 'out' port, it doesn't accept a signal, it creates one.
you can of course connect a suitable monitor to the laptop (if it has a video-out port) and have the laptop with dual screens.

same as the desktop, it can have dual monitors.

but you can't connect the desktop and laptop 'together' and share their respective screens in the manner I think you were asking.
