My pc has been working fine but one day I turned it on and the lights, fans, peripherals turned on like usual but on my hp monitor the start up screen displayed but then went black and switched to the No signal message.
This happened yesterday but it managed to work after switching and switching things off. But today nothing seems to work :/ I shut it down like usual yesterday.

-HDMI cable for display
-Windows 10

I tried my monitor with my xbox to see if the monitor was the problem but the xbox displayed.
I've tried unplugging all the cables and re plugging, switching the ends of my hdmi cable with the pc and monitor, factory reseting my monitor as well as taking the RAM in and out of my pc. But the same thing keeps happening. :/

This first happened the day after I put my pc to sleep for the first time, idk if that is what has to do with this.

Please provide information about your computer, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU, MB, the RAM (including the amount) add on video card if one is used and the PSU (power supply unit) providing these details will enable folk to better assist you.

Brand built - Cyberpower Ultra R35 Gaming pc

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G
Mobo: MSI A320M-A PRO
RAM: 16gb (2x8GB) DDR4/3200Mhz dual channel memory
Integrated graphics: Radeon rx vega 11
PSU: InWin A55 550W 80+

If you are can`t even get into the BIOS the issue is definitely hardware and not Windows related.

Try removing the CMOS battery from the MB (see attachment below) and leaving it out for a while then putting it back in.

While the CMOS battery is out, remove both sticks of RAM then insert just the one stick back into the slot nearest to the CPU.

Reconnect the screen, the keyboard (if using the USB type make sure it is connected to one of the black USB 2.0 ports) the power cord, power up to see if there is any change, if yes, post back, if no, repeat the procedure to remove the first stick of RAM and try the second stick on its own in the first slot etc.

thank you! sorry I forgot to mention but I can get into bios, and boot in safe mode. But I dont know where to go from there.

Too late now but that should have been the first thing that you mentioned in your OP :(

With the new information provided it now looks like the CPUs Vega video drivers have been uninstalled or perhaps updated by Windows with the wrong ones.

While in Safe Mode, back up all important data before doing the following.

To be able to get into Safe Mode you will be having to access the Windows recovery environment (RE) first, boot into the RE, click on the Advanced tab and then check to see if there is a System Restore point that is before the issue first happened, see steps here

If no System Restore point is available, use the Refresh option which will keep all your personal data safe but restore Windows to the way that it should be.

Restored it, it restarted but the same thing happened :/ should I try refreshing?

That`s weird because as long as the restore point was before the problem first happened the correct drivers/settings should still have been there.

If you are able to boot into Safe Mode with Networking, see if you are able to download and install the video drivers for your CPU from MSI here (Onboard VGA drivers) are the ones.

Other than the above, a refresh is your only option and the fact that your restore point did not work means that a refresh may not either, hence why trying the CPUs video drivers has been suggested first.

sadly no, also when I go into safe mode it says Microsoft Windows is not responding - the application is not responding

Neither are good news I`m afraid as after a refresh there is only a reset and that wipes the drive completely and just clean installs Windows, if that doesn`t work you will need Windows 10 installation media either on DVD disk if the PC has a DVD drive or the alternative which is a USB thumbdrive.

Cross your fingers, select a refresh and just hope for the best.

Oh my *** I am so sorry for everything... before I refreshed I realized I havent tried using my xbox hdmi cable or switching the input port to hdmi 2 for my pc.. thinking it was not gonna work it fricking worked I feel so silly. Honestly thank you so much for helping me though :)

No need for any apology, we are just happy that you have got it sorted and thanks for letting us know how (y)

Couple of suggestions for you;

Create a new system restore point.

Get yourself an 8GB or above USB thumbdrive then download a Windows 10 ISO for free from here

Okay will do! also one minor problem I think the restore point that I used has made me now unable to open chrome when I click on it. Do I have to undo the restore point or update something?
