Iam ok with the USB. I got 19.2 Linux Mint Cinnamon on my 16 gig USB. I would like to get ( persistants ) so i keep all settings but i dont no how to do this. I now have Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.3 which i will stay with. I checked out Linux Live but it doesnt have 19.2 i dont have a CD Drive either.
Thank,s Chuck

i dont have a CD Drive either.

Can I suggest you read the link I posted in your last thread regarding Linux. There is clear instructions on how to make a live Linux mint USB, and there are links included to download version 19. You will find all versions of Mint can be live until you decide to install them.

See if this helps it includes instruction on how to create the USB with persistants. Looks like there is a slider type bar that is used to adjust the amount of space that can be used. Maybe @jmarket can help more have never had a use for the program have always used live versions.

Iam still working on it. I will read whats in the last thread better. I will let you no how it goes. Thank,s Chuck

I still dont understand how to do persistance on a USB. I can USB Write just fine now and i can format my USB just fine. But to save all settings i have no idea how to do it. The laptop i use is Linux Mint Cinnamon 19 i want to keep that, its installed. But i got a couple extra USB,s i would like to try other Linux Distros on them. Iam a noob on Linux. I could do the USB with persistance fine on a Windows computer. But not with a Linux computer.
Thank,s Chuck

My computer is Linux Mint Cinnamon 19 i had Linux near 2 years now. In about 2 weeks i will go to Walmart and get a 8 GIG USB because maybe there is something wrong with this one. I have been reading online about USB,s alot, i dont no but they say USB,s do go bad, some might be ok after format but for some USB,s that dont help. I have formatted my USB though. I would never go back to using a Windows computer at all, some people like Windows i dont. You can mark this solved but i will get back with you in about 2 weeks when i get another USB. I have got a few USB,s now but there 4 GIG i read that i should get 8 GIG or larger USB. Thank,s So Much For All You Helped. Thank,s Chuck
