I am running on a laptop, msi asus AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics 3.20 GHz, 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable), 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. The pc restarts moments after loading into windows. i have removed, replaced ram and my 2 m.2s, reinstalled windows, new drivers ect ect. I cant figure this out, im atmy witts end, please someone help me out.

after you loaded Windows, did you install anything else?
was the laptop on the network when Windows was reloaded?
can you start into Safe Mode?
side note, if i go into bios and dont leave it, it doesnt freeze or restart
this would indicate most of the hardware is OK and it's either Windows itself that is faulty or the drive it is installed on.
did you try installing Windows onto the other drive?

Yes I have tried onto both. Cleaning them between with full formats.

It freezes while trying to install windows, it's a process to hope it lasts long enough. It freezes on fresh install with nothing being downloaded. I have done offline and online installs, safe mode still freezes. I have tried both drives.

Update, I redid another hard drive, if been in safe mode doing nothing but wiggling the mouse periodically and it hasn't frozen in 20 minutes. That's the longest its gotten so far.

Another update, I tried with networking and it froze fairly quickly, a minute or so, redoing safe mode to see if it repeats not freezing.

you've got some major fault somewhere, to state the obvious.
so you have tried different memory sticks, and tried just one stick?
if so, next step would be to try new sticks.
same for the m.2 drives, can you get your hands on another one?

otherwise, being a laptop, if it's the processor or motherboard, your options become a lot more limiting, cost wise.

So with it freezing with safe mode with networking but not in safe mode, is the issue with the networking most likely? Maybe the wifi in the laptop is messed up?

I can't get ahold of other m.2s but I had ram from an older laptop to put in here and no change

has the BIOS reset been done?

when in Safe Mode, how long did you give it, a few hours of usage?
if so, that should be enough to test the theory that while in Safe Mode, the issue could be software related, or with hardware that has been disabled due to safe mode.

to prove your idea about the wifi card, flip the laptop over, remove the back plate, and take out the small wireless adapter.
be careful with the antenna cables, they can be tricky to re-attach.

I haven't done a bios reset, tbh the bios updates n stuff scare the hell out of me, yldonyou have a guide on that, that you trust? I had it in safe mode for many hours with no freezing. I'll try the wifi card later tonight.
