I have a pre built power spec from Micro Center specs are

Ryzen 5 3600
Asrock b450
Corsair vengeance 16gig ram
Rx 5700 xt (added after)
Power spec 650w psu

Wanted to add an hdd for my storage but when I add it the pc wont power on I'm stummped.. can someone help? Pc works fine when hdd is not connected. Hdd is brand new out of the box. 2tb seagate

what is the boot device normally - an internal SSD unit?
if so, when you connect another drive, it may be trying to boot from it.
go into the BIOS settings and check the boot order.
set the current drive to be the first option.

Update: I decided to buy a new hdd and a new psu changed everything out now everything works. I think my old psu bricked my other hdd not sure why...
