I have a brand new pc

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB
Memory: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz

Case: Rosewill ATX Mid Tower Gaming PC Computer Case with Dual Ring RGB LED Fans, 360mm & 240mm Liquid Cooling Radiator Support, Tempered Glass/Steel, Front Mesh Panel, USB 3.0 - SPECTRA D100

its about 3 months old. today my ethernet stopped working. I have 2 other pcs on this network and they get internet just fine through ethernet. I have updated the ethernet driver, uninstalled the lan adapter in device management and made sure all ipv4 connections are set to auto. I also have switched cables and ethernet ports in my router and also installed a gigabit pci express network adapter to no avail. I get very little to no internet through the ethernet cable we are talking .2 megabits per second. when i plug in my wifi adapter to the pc i get 35 megabits per second. I have no idea what happened. Help me.

Hello

This may be a faulty port on your mobo.. You may want to think about using your warranty.

we called the manufacturer ABS we are waiting to hear back from them. the issue is it was working fine yesterday its just weird.

We assume you are running windows 10
Open the Start menu and click the gear-shaped Settings icon.
Go to Update & security > View Update History
Have you had a windows update since this started to happen. If yes uninstall and test.
Also on the bad computer and a good computer
open cmd and type or copy and paste ipconfig/all press Enter
Check that the details are the same
IPv4-subnet- gateway

  1. Open the Start menu and click the gear-shaped Settings icon.
  2. Go to Update & security > View Update History > Uninstall updates.

so eht ipv4 on the affected computer ends in .180 the unaffected ends in .206 subnet are the same gateway on affected pc ends in 954f%3 where as the unaffected pc ends in 954f%17. no updates happened other than a definition update that i cannot find to uninstall and it already installed a new definition update in the meantime that i also cannot find to uninstall.

If I may offer some insight :)

When this happens, and you've swapped cables and tried other ports on the router but everything else is working ok, it's most likely a bad controller on the motherboard that can not be fixed except by soldering.

I've had to do this quite a few times for clients, but it is not worth the hassle.

I agree with jmarket. However you also used another network card.
also installed a gigabit pci express network adapter to no avail.
Your gateway does not look right for IPv4 I would expect something along the lines.
192.168.0.180
255.255.255.0
192.168.0.1
or in the 10 range eg
10.0.0.180
255.255.255.0
10.0.0.1

Another thing that struck me.

Do you by any chance have Killer Network Manager installed?

the numbers are the same as you listed here the healthy pc is 192.168.0.206 the unhealthy pc is pc 192.168.0.180. the subnet is the same and the gateways match eachother.

When was the last time you rebooted the entire network?
Are the IP address static and or dynamic? (If you know)

any word back you may need to follow up with them especially before the warranty runs out.

Try this command to get the information that @PeterOz requested in post # 4
This will create a ipconfig.txt file on the desktop that you can attach and or copy and paste the information from.

ipconfig /all >"%userprofile%\desktop\ipconfig.txt
