Hey Im new to the PC world and I built this custom pc about 7 months ago (specs below) since building it has been great. No issues, everything running perfect. I was playing rust and tarkov a lot and i never had any issues then all of a sudden one day my PC started freezing and crashing while playing certain games. Other games like Valorant, Ark, Pubg, etc. work just fine. And sometimes i can get on Rust, Tarkov, or Green hell and play for over and hour then it will crash and sometimes it crashes after 5 mins. Ive replaced gpu with a new one and replaced the psu with a new one. The temps seem to be fine im just not sure what to do at this point any advice will be considered and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Are you overclocking any components? What build of Windows 10 do you have? Have you tried updating your motherboards BIOS to the latest version?

When the PC crashes does it show a blue screen of death or does it turn off like the power plug was pulled from the system?

Im not overclocking anything, i have windows 10 64-bit. Sometimes i will get a BSOD but most of the time it just acts as if the power was pulled. Sometimes the screen freezes and wont do anything at all. And yes bios is updated to most recent version.

If the computer is shutting off like the power plug was pulled out then it could be the power supply is shutting off after extended use.

Take the power supply out of the case while keeping it plugged in and lay it down so the fan faces upward so it gets good airflow.

Then run Furmark and also Cinebench at the same time for a period of at least 30 minutes and see if having the power supply outside of the case shuts down the PC.
