Hi Guys

I have a issue with my outlook that's not working when I try to open,
it show the name of Email (xyz@example.com) and start repairing it,
repairing also didn't work. I tried to open it in safe mode but it
also didn't worked. This Email (xyz@example.com) is also configure
in other outlook in other pc when I tried to open the inbox of that email
(xyz@example.com) inbox is not opening. But when I reconfigure fresh email
with out taking the data file its working but i want my sent items
of that email and i cannot copy the data file of that email also. So please help me out its really important to me

Thank You.

this all depends on your version of Office, but the theory is.....

go to where your data file lives and rename it from outlook.pst to old outlook.pst (for example).

in Control Panel > Mail > Email Accounts and create a new account and setup your email again and set it as the default. in the Data Files tab, set the new data file the Default and remove the original one.
at the end of that, you should be getting your new email (albiet the same address) into a new data file.

restart Outlook, and answer any can't find your old outlook file message accordingly.
now tell Outlook to Open the old data file, and you should see it down the left hand column, and be able to copy items out of it and into the new data file.

you may have to fluff around getting Outlook to play nice as it sorts itself out with the new settings (sometimes it just works, other times you have to stroke its ego before it joins the party)

if it says it is corrupted, you'll need to use the supplied SCANPST program to fix it.
