will need more details than that? :)

in 60 days you have noticed the speed drop?
95% is what - when the video stops?
age of PC?

let's get your PC specs.
get Speccy from here; https://www.piriform.com/speccy/builds
in Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
now you can paste (Ctrl+V) that link into a post.
One component Speccy doesn’t cover is the Power Supply Unit, so please also include the make/model of the PSU.

i have 'no idea what is going on here , i downloaded 'speccy and nothing you talk about comes up
im 74 and had a stroke awhile back, then surgury

see if this helps. (sorry if you know this or have tried it, but let's start at the basics)

when you downloaded Speccy, it should have saved the program to your Downloads folder, go there and double click the spsetup132.exe file to install the program.

it will say setup is complete, then you can click the purple Start Speccy button.
now click File, then Publish Snapshot, (hit Yes if prompted to proceed with publish), then in the window that pops up, click Copy to Clipboard.

now you can paste that copied link into your next reply. :)

well , i opened up my pc and tried to vacuum it out but it was so dirty i decided to blow it out with compressed air , so now in process of getting all hooked back up again ... so i should be back in shape tonight .. sorry bout the big 'pause .. steve

keep in mind, when vacuuming, it can suck off the motherboard some bits, like the jumpers.
and when blowing, hold the fans when directing the air flow over them as it can push them past their max speeds.
otherwise - blowing is the way to go!

natta , this pc is at a very 'low level , i tend to grit my teeth every time i watch a video + , as i last checked my usage was at 15 %.. im not pc 'buff at all , and going to win 10 was a downfall for me due to a stroke iv even lost more skills, but we will cary-on , eh , steve

as iv researched a little i find i restored to earlier settings back in june of '22 .. things were better for awhile and then it started getting slower , and slower till now when i first get on my home page it takes almost minute to come up at least .. i use 'spybot and have for over 20 yrs i do like it and its always given me exc. service .. i run it every morn. before i get on board , and things are a little better but not what they should be ..

excellent, you just need to paste it into your next post.

in Speccy, click File, then Publish Snapshot, then Copy to Clipboard the click Close.
now you can paste (Ctrl+V) the link into a post.

good job, you nailed it!
OK, let's go through the Speccy report and see what shows up.

an old gal indeed. :)

Speccy shows you have Spybot - Search and destroy as your anti-virus.
Windows 10 has an excellent built-in AV program called Defender, ranks easily as good as the paid-for guys.
so for starters, I'd recommend removing it and that will auto-enable Defender.
if this doesn't pan out, we can always reinstall Spybot later.

next, it shows your Windows Update and not set to auto-update, so click on Start, then the Settings cog, then Update & Security, then click the Check for Updates button.

then, it shows your BIOS is 5 years old.
while there may be updates, I doubt any would fix your issue you are describing, but food for thought later on if we have to start clutching straws.
your Seagate 500GB hard drive has been booted up nearly 4000 times, and is showing RAW values that should be zero, even though those catergories show as Good.

try doing the following from an elevated command prompt.
• chkdsk c: /r
• sfc /scannow
• dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
• dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /resetbase

I would also download Glary Disk Cleaner and run it to clean out all the built up accumulated crap.

do all that then let us know what is happening with the PC running slow, and with the movies.
