Need your help, google didn't help.
Short description:
No signal on the extended display
Laptop: Dell xps15 9570
OS: Windows 10
Display: Philips 245E
Details:
  • connection - HDMI
  • it was working before, nothing has changed, after a few days of being turned off just stopped working
  • display is detected by the laptop, I can see it in Display settings. But "no signal" on the actual display.
What have I tried:

  • plugin another laptop to my display - it worked. The display is working fine with other laptops
  • plugin another display to my laptop - it worked. I tried to connect my laptop to a TV using the same HDMI port - it worked
  • switch HDMI cables - no result. HDMI cables seem to be fine
  • reinstall display drivers - no result
  • tried different modes ( extend, duplicate, only pc, only extended ) - same situation in all modes, display is detected but "no signal"

Good troubleshooting done already, unfortunately this means that you have covered what would have been suggested I`m afraid :(

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Being that the OP has revisited the forum but chose not to reply this thread will be closed.

Thank you @philippower2 for reopening the thread.
Updates so far:
  • speccy link: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/80vYxevPHSAuYLWTKoLb5Kd
  • I have booted from a USB stick (Ubuntu) and the display worked without any issues (which I think excludes any hardware issues)
  • tried Windows Recovery based on a replay from another topic - restored to the version from 22.12.2022 - no changes, had no effect at all

Another interesting update. I launched OBS, and from OBS I saw there the second the signal is going to the 2nd display, meaning in the OBS preview I can see the windows opening up, and I can drag a window to the extended monitor. But, like before, the actual display is black.

might sound stupid
when plugged in use the menu buttons on the monitor to force input hdmi
I have three options there: VGA, display port, HDMI.
Just for the sake of trying everything I have tried all options. Sadly none of them work. I get "No signal" on all of them.

I launched OBS,
