No BSOD/ crash and auto reboot

Hello all,
I’ve been having this issue for about 6 months plus now. I game stream and edit YouTube videos on my pic and recently after getting a new (to me) GPU and a unknown attempt at over locking my pc which I don’t believe was successful, my pc started to crash. There is no BSOD when it crashes. It just goes blank my LEDs in my fans stay on but freeze and return to normal, and then the computer just turns back on again and goes to windows. After trying some online forum remedies nothing has worked so far and now the system sometimes doesn’t find my boot drive. The crashes happen multiple times daily and range from me not even touching my computer to when I start up a game and then boom, it even happens when editing which is why I’ve taken a break from posting because all the work I do for hours goes down the drain. I’ve tried reseating everything and have reset bios and cleared cmos. No errors in memtest86 nor are there any viruses popping up when I check for them. I did have a memory issue before hand where my computer would blue screen after installing my fourth stick of ram. I don’t remember what the exact remedy for it was but I do know it was in bios and had something to do with timing. No overheating issue I’m aware of no alerts come up during the time I can use it. I don’t have the funds for new parts…so any help?

From the Speccy report;

• You have 3% C:\ space left, so start reclaiming some of that and see if it helps. Get WizTree; https://pchelpforum.net/r/wiztree.214/ (click the History tab for the Download link)
• Disconnect the extra drives for a few days and see if the issue occurs, and go down to just one monitor
• Check to manufacture's website for any mobo BIOS updates?
• Turn off memory XMP mode in BIOS

Then, you could try Safe Mode and Clean Boot troubleshooting.

Clean Boot Versus Safe Mode

While basically the same, there is a subtle difference to understand. This URL gives more details, with how-to examples, but to summarise... Safe Mode only loads the core essentials to allow Windows to start and automatically turns off...

Bios was 2 years outdated, updated and still having crashes, c:\ drive had been cleared up until the windows os thats it I dont know if my Bios has XMP i did not see anythin labeled that in there but i did turn DOCP off. Some days i work from home so disconnecting drives and monitors would hinder that work nor does c:\ have enought storage to hold all the files needed for work. SHould i start moving sutff around and trying 1 drive at a time?

There is no BSOD when it crashes.

Software such as Windows can crash and when it does crash you get a BSOD and when enabled a crash dmp is generated, programs or games when they crash can on occasion close to the desktop but the computer will still be 100% functional.

Hardware failure such as a weak power supply and/or overheating are not software related and when a computer for example suddenly turns off, freezes or the screen goes black etc the behaviour should be described as the "computer shut down unexpectedly" or froze etc and not as having crashed as the latter implies a software issue as opposed to an obvious hardware issue when described properly.

Having the correct info means that helpers will not be looking for a software issue when the problem is clearly hardware related.

In addition to that already advised by Bruce.

The behaviour that you describe is typical of what happens when a weak PSU is being used, based on the GPU that you have, the additional storage devices and extra screens you need a minimum of an 850W Gold efficiency rated PSU from one of the following, Corsair RM range, EVGA, Seasonic or Super Flower.

Change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues, the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power + a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.
