Hello, so i was running Windows 10 64 bits on a Dell Inspiron 14r 5420, and when my hd broke i needed to format the pc, earlier from that my wifi card and internet cable port also broke.

When i try to install windows 10 on my pc My usb ports stop working, but on windosw 7 they run perfect and clean.

I dont think it's a driver issue because i dont need to install drivers on Windows 7 to run them, and also because used to work before.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but there are no Windows 10 drivers for your notebook, you can confirm this for yourself here

If it used to work you most likely had Windows 7 drivers which is what Windows 10 contains for lots of older hardware, if you check the Dell link here you will see the option Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver for Windows 7 64-bit but you only get USB 2.0 options for Windows 8 and 8.1.

In addition to the above, are you aware that after clean installing Windows you must then install the system drivers and before you allow Windows to check for any updates, this for all computers but I`m afraid that Dell are even worse as you have to install the Dell drivers in a certain order or you will 100% get issues.
