Listen, this is not actually urgent but I REALLY WANT MY **** LAPTOP BACK.
So, my original AC adapter died. After not charging and turning on the laptop for 10 days, i finally found a brand new AC adapter today.
And today again, i plugged the cable to my laptop ant it charged. I happily opened games to play. Then out of nowhere, my laptop warned me about battery being low. I checked the battery percent and what the , it was going DOWN. Even it was saying "plugged in". After 1 minute passed by, my laptop auto-turned off to prevent data loss due to critical low battery. I checked the charge led and it was showing blinking red light. Normally, it SHOULD've showed straight red light. The blinking means it wasn't charging. I really got confused and turned my laptop again. And when it powered on, the battery showed 0% percent. "This is it. Rip" i thought. Well... my laptop actually was working, but of course, at 0% percent. It was saying "Plugged in, 3 minutes into fully charged". So weird.
Instead of waiting, i searched up for solution. I was a bit mad, i'll admit. In the end, i found the same solutions...
Uninstalling the battery drivers.
...and i did uninstall it. Worst mistake of my life.
The solution said uninstalling the battery drivers are not dangerous because when the laptop gets restarted, it will auto-install the drivers again.
..at least thats what they said. I restarted my laptop and well..
This is why i am asking for your help.
It didn't turned on. It wasn't even charging, the led went dark too. So my laptop can't turn on and can't charge. It literally cannot detect any power.
Disable the battery they said. Plug the AC adapter and turn it on they said.
Yup, i did it it and my laptop didn't turned on without disabled battery and AC adapter power only.
You know, normally, all laptops work fine with no battery but with AC adapter cable.
My laptop can't even get power with that too...
So here i am. With a laptop not receiving any single power.
My thoughts;
I am stupid.
Anyways, the AC adapter is not charging the laptop. The battery is, well... i don't know?
The AC adapter was brand new and worked fine at first. It can't possible an adapter dying so quickly? It even was charging at %0 so..
The battery on the other hand, was a healthy 2.5 years old boi. I really don't think my battery got rekt. It's not old enough and wasn't damaged or anything. So why it's not receiving any power from AC adapter?
You know what forget the battery, the laptop SHOULD WORK WITH AC ADAPTER ALONE. No battery or dead battery it doesn't matter. My very old laptop was always at 0% due to dead battery and it was living with AC adapter. So how???
Maybe i were too impatient. I should have waited for battery to charge up, since it was decharging for 10 days.
Ofc, it is my fault. And i really need help.
Sorry, it's really long writing and i may have wasted your time but this situation is really, really weird that i must talk about every little thing.
Anyways, laptop with no power. What should i do?
Info:
-System: Windows 10
-Laptop: Lenovo idepad320
-i5 with 12 GB RAM, 1TB hard drive
-2.5 years old
-Healthy battery?
Things you should know:
-Any hardware damage is likely not possible. I really don't think the new adapter damaged my laptop. For example, both my old and new adapter is 65W, with same inputs/outputs etc. Literally they are like a clone.
-My battery was healthy enough, like i said. Maybe being discharged for 10 days damaged it somehow?? I remember it was being 40% percent for 10 days. With no battery drivers, it can't turn on. So it's not battery's fault i think.
-I can't open the BIOS either..there is no power. Nothing. Its almost like my laptop just died.
I know.. this really seems an impossible situation. AC adapter not giving any power now but was working several minutes ago. With a no-driver battery. No BIOS. No power. Nothing.
But maybe you do know something..?
Any help is accepted, no matter what.
I can't go to any pc repair for the next week. And honestly i don't want it. I wanna fix this mess myself. But of course, with your help.
