I just got up, went to the bathroom, came back and my gamepad is no longer lit up and when I plug it into my PC it says Windows 10 can't recognize what it is.

I didn't do anything to it. No one touched it. The gamepad is a week old.

I've looked online for solutions but people just keep saying 'update drivers' and well, I've tried that but it says they're fully updated. Or maybe it doesn't know what drivers to update? To be fair, the gamepad is just a random one I bought on Amazon. This is it right here. It's a 3rd party PS4 gamepad. It was working perfectly fine until it just suddenly stopped.

I've tried using it on my actual PS4 and it works fine. So I'm just super confused.

It sounds like it’s faulty.
Do other devices work in the same USB port?
Have you tested it using another port?
Is the gamepad showing under devices?

Remove the device
Remove all of the reference in Device Manager
(May have to select Show Hidden Devices)
Reboot the system
Reattach and allow windows to find
