It was at least an hour that i waited the first time and it never moved but said it was finished when i X'ed out and started over. What i do is click out of the stuck scan and start a new one but as the screens above show when i start a new one it says the last one finishedScanning for viruses usually maxes out your CPU and creates more work for itself as you do it- if you let the scan continue will it ever jump to finished? How long do you let it sit on the place it gets "stuck."
I say "stuck" in quotes because I want to know what that means to you, what happens and what do you do?
I didnt know it runs a scan automatic. I know its always checking for viruses. Why are you forcing a scan to run.
It should be taking care of things by itself in the background.
You could try a scan in safe mode and see what happens.
I only force a scan on a particular file/folder that I have downloaded from the internet if I have doubts about the file.
Otherwise I let it take care of itself.
How to enter safe mode Click On Me
That is a scan so to speakI know its always checking for viruses.
Thanks. I just thought you should run a scan every so oftenThat is a scan so to speak
If you think everything is fine we can close the thread. A quick scan does finish. As I said I only scan something I download from a site I am not sure of.
