Hello, Ive just purchased new laptop MSI stealth 15m and after start up i noticed that there is only Drive C: (after updates 368 GB free of 453GB) - laptop suppose to have 512gb SSD

i tried rescaning the discs but nothing happen, so to my question - is this normal ? and there is no more memory available on my laptop ?

here is a link to a screenshot

thanks for any answers

Do you mean the pc was meant to come with 2 drives - one containing Windows & the other a blank drive for files or that the SSD should be 512gb but it is less?
All drives usually have less space than advertised once formatted so that 453gb space is normal.

Depending on the system is it was a store bought there are hidden partitions on the system.

two or more hidden partitions for Windows personal use and one that the manufacture put on for the system restore to factory.

the way the math works also plays a factor on how the drive space is calculated. Use to have a great link that explained the basics of it.

not including all of the preinstalled software that come with them.

How many disks you see with diskpart?

If the second hard disk is installed -but not formatted and assigned a drive letter -windows will not see it.
