Hello, fellows! I've got a problem with microstuttering when playing this game called Trackmania Nations Forever which dates back to 2008. Basically, I'm experiencing micro frame freezes whilst playing the game online, however, when I play the game offline, it's working perfectly fine. Just recently I reinstalled my Windows10 and before the reinstallment I was able to play Trackmania online without any microstuttering whatsoever. Other online games that I play are also free of microstutters, it is just happening in Trackmania and it is tilting the **** out of me. Your help will be much obliged!

Hi xxxhefestxxx, Welcome to PCHF! :)

What video card and network adapter does your computer have? Are you using a wired or a wireless Internet connection? Are you overclocking any components?

Lets see what is starting up with your machine.

Please download Autoruns. After you download the zipped folder on your desktop, right click the zipped folder and click Extract All. After the folder has been extracted open the regular folder. Run the autoruns.exe program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When you open the program, click the Logon Tab and then post a screenshot of all the startup entries on the Logon Tab in your next reply.

Malnutrition, it is not my internet connection that is the problem cause other games I play online aren't microstuttering at all and ping is completely normal.

My network adapter is Realtek PCle GBE Family Controller, Ethernet 802.3. Video card is Nvidia Geforce GTX 950M. No, I am not overclocking any of my components.

Have you installed the latest driver for your network adapter and your video card?

If not download those items from here:

Realtek Network driver.

Nvidia Driver.

In Autoruns uncheck the following items:

RtHDVBg
RTHDVC
ShadowPlay
AceStream
OneDrive
Google Chrome
Windows Mail (both entries)

Then reboot the computer and see if there is any change in the computers behavior.

Did all the chores, same ****. What I just noticed is that when I play in an online server that has fewer number of players, such as 0-20, I have no microstutters. Whereas when I play on a server where there are 25-40 people, it starts microstuttering. I haven't had this problem before reinstalling and even when I minimize graphic options, it still microstutters on that server loaded with people.

Attach or upload Autoruns.arn in your next reply. -- Do not copy and paste it.

And I repeat, the microstuttering only occurs when I play at a server (in Trackmania) that has more than 20 players or so. Didn't have this problem before reinstalling nor I have this problem playing other multiplayer games that have many players in an online server. Weird.

You are connected Via wireless.
Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 Wireless Network Adapter = Wi-Fi (Connected)

Can you try and bypass the router, and connect this machine directly to the modem to see if you still get lags?

my laptop doesn't have the port...

No ethernet port? Odd, it has the driver....

Code:
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller = Ethernet (Media disconnected)

I'd say a clean install of your Nvidia Driver might help, and since this is only happening on one site with one server. Do you have another machine that you can test to see if the issue occurs?

Yeah, I have my brother's laptop.

So the game works fine with it?

. I've already reinstalled drivers several times...

Reinstalling them is not the same as a clean install.

Still does not explain why you have an ethernet driver and no port, really odd the driver would not install if it were not there. Perhaps it is covered?

I am tagging @Evan Omo to conclude this. I hope he has more to say here. :)

Yep, perfectly fine. It's so weird...
Yeah, I meant to say that I've done the clean install as well. Did it now again, issue is still there.
Bruh, I wish I had it, hate Wi-Fi.

Did you actually test the issue via an Ethernet cable plugged directly from your laptop to the modem? Your laptop obviously has an Ethernet port so see if there is any difference with the game. I want to confirm that you installed the latest network driver and video driver from the links that I posted correct?

Have you updated your laptops BIOS? Are the games configured with the same settings on both your laptop and your brothers laptop?
