I got a Surface Go a few months ago and see reviews and comments about Surface Go 1, 2, and 3. Microsoft says to select Start, Surface app, Device information, and Surface model. My Surface Go says "1943 i5". What am I supposed to make of this?

Then I look up Surface Go 1, 2, and 3 in Wikipedia. It indicates that they're all detachable 2 in 1's with a 10.5" screen. Mine is not detachable, with a 12.4" screen.

I can't make any sense out of any of this

I'm also missing my files that I spent two hours transferring from an external drive.

I'm not sure what your initial question is?
what is it you are trying to find - the make/model of your Surface Go?

as to the last sentence.... some more info would help.
you transferred some files from an external USB device, onto the Surface Go and now can;t find them?
