Hi, I have memory management bsod occasionally. I did a mdsched.exe check today and this is what I got (It said there were some problems in hardware when the mem diagnostics ran:

Thank you. I will do that. What should I look into when I select ram? Can I just use any other ddr3 ram or do I have to look into what my ram is and find similar ram?
 
You should try to make sure the RAM is the pretty close to the same as what you got now in terms of speed and voltage. For example, if it's DDR3-3333, you'll want to replace it with DDR3-3333 RAM (if you don't want to notice slowdowns). You can mix and match makes if you need to. It won't hurt :)

thank you. I will replace the ram. have been meaning to do it for a while. Also is there a limit to the amount of ram we can put in our laptop? I have 4 slots in my laptop (according to the memory tab in task manager , haven't actually opened the laptop to check), I currently have 4gb ram and my system is 64 bit. What's the limit I can put in my laptop? is it okay to put 16 gb ddr3 in all 4 slots ? (not going to do that but still asking for knowledge)
 
It depends on the motherboard. Some can support 32GB, some can only support 16. Some can support up to 128GB. You would have to Google your specific model and determine the max RAM you can have :)
