So I got myself a Gaming pc GeForce GTX1060 6gb card Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40ghz
31.89GB RAM the pc has been working perfectly since I bought running good games fine but the other day while playing Sea of Theives I accidentally kicked the power cord out of the power board so I had to validate the game through steam and now I've manage to get the game to load up fine but as soon I get in game and try to run with my character It keeps glitching bad and I end up moving from one side of the island to the other and I barely even move the Character its alot worse then just bad lagging and its far from playable this happens with every game I play I really don't know much about computers at all as this is my first ever pc but I've reset my IE settings I've turned off my Firewall completely and check to make sure the Firewall wasn't blocking the game I've tried a fair few solutions but nothings has helped and I honestly don't have a clue how to fix it or what to try anymore

This would cause hardware as opposed to software damage and what you describe suggests that the GTX1060 could be involved.

If the computer is a desktop can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Thanks heaps for the info it dose seam like I've damaged the graphics card considering it happens with every game I play and everything else like watching videos on YouTube etc works fine its only happening with gaming I'll just post the description of the pc that the guy posted when selling it and hopefully that gives you abit more info on the pc and I'll have a look soon and find out what the power supply is and I'll download speccy shortly and do what you said

I've tried running speccy while in the game and while playing it says the CPU is flashing between 58 degrees (green) and then flashes to 61 degrees (red) it also says the graphics card is running at 59 degrees (Green) I cleaned my pc right out yesterday just to make sure it wasn't a problems from dust build up so maybe there is something wrong with the CPU or Graphics card

No worries but fwiw it wasn`t how the info was requested so we weren't to know it was there ;)

Not a good choice of spec PSU and should never have been used anywhere near a computer that has an add on GPU, Corsair recommend the CX range for the following;

CX Series power supply units are an excellent choice for basic system builds and desktop PC computer upgrades, offering high reliability and low noise.

Note the word "basic" this means either integrated graphics or only the most basic of add on GPUs, anything no good for gaming basically, that said being an older GPU there is no point in getting a better PSU.

Back to your Speccy report, will only mention the most urgent for now as not only will it be causing you performance issues etc but also putting Windows at risk of corruption and the SSD at risk of failure.

Please note that the storage capacity of the SSD that Windows 10 is on is too small, the smallest capacity SSD that I will use for Windows on its own is 256GB and being that Windows 10 looks to be the last version of Windows to be numbered an instead to be continually upgraded instead I will in future be using a minimum of a 500GB SSD instead.

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 945879D9
Size: 110 GB
Used Space: 105 GB (94%)
Free Space: 5.74 GB (6%)

The following is an explanation as to why Windows own and other updates will not install.

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update, on a mechanical HDD you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available as free storage space at all times and on an SSD between 10 and 20%, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which also puts you at risk of malware attack.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can and get yourself another means of backing up to, post back when you have between 20 and 25% ** free storage on the C: drive/partition and we can go from there.

** You need to free up so much more space because Windows updates are so far behind.

No rush as calling it a day here as its getting late, take as long as you need and please only post back after you have freed up the space, got Windows fully up to date and tested the PC by using it as you normally would to see how it behaves.

Will do thankyou heaps again

there we go that one works Ive deleted everything I can delete off my SSD says Ive got 28gb worth of free space I was able to update windows and evrything is working smoothly but gaming wise Im still having the same problem with every game I play

Windows Defender is up to date but Windows 10 itself is not, go here and see if you are able to download and install the latest version of Windows 10 which is 20H2

updating now thankyou very much for the help I am gratefull and without your help I would be stuck

updated windows so hopefully this makes things easier thankyou for showing me how to update windows properly

You are welcome :)

See how things go after the install and a spell of gaming then post back with an update for us, if the problem persists we will check your temps and voltages + provide the info for testing your GPU.

In addition to the above, you have two different specs of RAM, two Xs 1600MHz sticks and two Xs 1333MHz sticks, it will not make your PC lightening fast by removing them but in case you are not already aware having the 1333MHz RAM in the board means that your 1600MHz RAM is being clocked backwards to match the speed of the slower RAM, this is normal as you can make faster RAM go slower but you cannot make slower RAM go past its maximum tested capability, addition to the addition :) looks like you need to enable XMP in the BIOS so that your RAM gets OCd, its only running at 1066MHz atm when with the four sticks in the board it can run at 1333MHz.

I updated window's last night and It went through the process and I completed the update just then but now when I try connect to my internet it will connect and all the basics like Discord Etc will load up fine but as soon as I try load a game up the pc disconnects from the internet then I try connect again say another 2 or 3 times and it says cant connect to this network then try connect again and it connects but then as soon as I try load a Game up it disconnects again I've restarted the pc twice and it still happens and also it has a Padlock on both my options to connect to the internet I know my internet is locked and secured so maybe its just showing the padlocks there after updating windows to the latest version? I've just left it connected for the moment before loading up any games so it stays connected for awhile then I'll try load a game up and see how that goes

Also thanks heaps for the info on the Ram thats very interesting do you know how I could Enable XMP to the BIOS so that my Ram gets OCd? Once again thankyou very much the for the help

Now the Pc turns on but when I try type my password in to start up the computer nothing types in the bar my keyboard lights are on and the mouse light is on so it's all plugged in properly the computer just isn't really working
