In restoring a Macrium Reflect backup free latest version, using an image, my Thunderbird folders are not displayed.
What should I do doing to correct this fault please?

have you mounted the Macrium image as a drive by double clicking the .MRIMG file you created via Macrium?

and in there, navigate to C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla to find the Thunderbird folder.
if not there try \AppData\Local\Mozilla - I haven't used TB in many years and don't recall exactly where it keeps the folders.

if you see them, you can copy them to the same location on your C:\

you may have to create your TB profile first, then copy from the imaged profile into the new C:\ profile, as the profile folder name would be different now.

Thank you.
To be more specific, what I want to know is how and why these folders are not being displayed automatically on a reinstall?
To rescue these folders was a nightmare.
Maybe this is just a Macrium issue?
So to backup and reinstall a mirror image, what backup software does this for the folders in Thunderbird, without any issues please?

When you restore an image Windows should be exactly the same as when the image was taken.
Are the account pop or imap?
Are the folders within an account or local?
If you sync the accounts do these folders appear.

Q: When you restore an image Windows should be exactly the same as when the image was taken.
A: Not the case
Q: Are the account pop or imap?
A: How can I confirm please?
The account was originally set up on Windows 7 as a pop account
Q: Are the folders within an account or local?
A: Local (on Thunderbird)
Q: If you sync the accounts do these folders appear.
A: How can I tell if it has been, and if not how do I do please?

My Thunderbird account was originally created as a Pop3 account on Windows 7.
Now I have transferred it to Windows 11, and in doing so changing the Authentication method from Password to OAuth2.

Was the restored image Win 7 to a Win 11 pc or a Win 11 image back to the same pc it was created on?
If using a pop account then they will not sync to the account online but will be local only.
OAuth2 will require you to confirm the account, when you create the account you should be asked whether you wish to allow the app/program to access your account - has this happened?

The restored version was with a backup made on Windows 11.
It did not show up my Thunderbird folders.

You write:
If using a pop account then they will not sync to the account online but will be local only.
Can you please refer in terms of Thunderbird and Google online?
My Google account has indeed been confirmed.

Now what you are writing here, is about as close as anybody has got to on this.
The fist image is of how Thunderbird looks like following a Macrium reinstall.
The second of how it looked when I made the Macrium backup concerned.

Pop accounts will not sync to the online account so any changes made - delete emails, add folders will not sync to the online account or to the account on other devices.
You would need to use imap in order for the account to sync completely - any folders created via Thunderbird would then reflect via Google/Gmail online.
Which folders are missing?
If you browse the Macrium image & go to where Thunderbird stores the email accounts do those folders show? You may need to select show hidden folders in order to see them.
I would then compare the folder with the same folder on the pc to see if there’s any folders or files missing.
