I want to upgrade my motherboard and CPU not sure what to get, recently upgraded ram and GPU
I play games like ARK: survival evolved, Arma 3, Overwatch, Fallout 4
I have trouble running some games with even low graphics currently (get around 20 constant frames on medium-low settings for Arma and Ark)

currently have:
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Processor, 3500 Mhz
24GB RAM(DDR3)
Nvidia GTX 960
2 hard drives 1 ssd

i have no idea. im looking into an I5 but i'd need to get a new motherboard and if i get a new motherboard i need new ram sticks i think?

was trying to stay in a budget, but i think im going to go with what you recommended thanks for the help
