  • Hello everyone We want to personally apologize to everyone for the downtime that we've experienced. We are working to get everything back up as quickly as possible. Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

I have been using a pin to log into my HPX360 14 laptop for several years.

Suddenly it would accept the pin and wanted my to log into my Microsoft account.

Unfortunately both the phone number and email address I used when I set it up I no longer have access so so attempts to recover a password were unsucessful

I have exhausted all options trying to recover my password.

There are no files or anything on the machine I care about, I am happy to completely scrap whats on there and start again , with a new Windows 10 licence if I need to . I just seem to be able to find any resources that sets out what my options are

Hi there,

Per our rules, Section 13:

Code:
We will not assist with recovery of or figuring out of system passwords, PINs, or 2FA codes for any reason.

If you need assistance with your Microsoft account, you'll need to head here and follow Microsoft's guide

I am not asking for help to recover passwords .If am asking if and I can re install windows and start from scratch

g'day Rabbit and welcome,

get yourself the Windows Media Creation Tool from here; https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

download and run the tool and create a bootable USB stick with it.

one of the first options you'll be prompted with is to delete all the current partitions, do that and continue and it'll wipe the lot and start afresh.

after the reinstall, when you first get the rig back on the web, it'll auto-activate Windows for you.

then the fun really begins as you reload all your programs! :)
