Moons ago I used an ‘app’ or programme that enabled me to put ‘CLICK HERE’ in an e-mail and when clicked it would open a YouTube or file on Google Drive that I had linked it to. When I changed computers I forgot all about it. I’m rather keen to use it again so can anyone help me with info on how to do it again. Many thanks. Pete

What email client are you using?
I use Gmail, Outlook Desktop, Betterbird, and occasionally the ISP web interface and all allow me to simply copy/paste a web link in the email without 3rd party assist. If you want to change the link text to Click Here, look for a symbol like in the below pic. When you hover your mouse over it it will say insert link.

Thanks for your quick reply. I’m using Gmail.

Your advice isn’t exactly what I recall from way back – however, I tried it and it worked. I should have mentioned that my files are mp4 video files averaging 40MB and Gmail said it's too large and couldn’t send them but would put it into Google Drive. This is did and then the email was sent with the video file just showing the actual name given and not the very long code copied from Google Drive.

So your valuable advice was just the job and many thanks. All my Christmas cards are short video creations personalised for each recipient.

Thanks again.

Pete
