My phone got its LCD display completely demolished, unusable. Still, it powers on and I can see the side commands and the sensor working, so there might be home it can still be used to recover some stuff and mostly to create/update my WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business backups.
I read that it can be connected to a TV or PC and then by using the mouse the screen icons can be clicked on and get something done. Anyone has experience on this? Thanks.

I would say that that is for those who have a broken display but can still see something, my display is so broken that nothing is visible, I would need something to mirror the phone onto the PC or TV.

Also guys do you know where the WhatsApp Business backup is saved? I can see a backup dated 11th May on my GDrive but no idea where the Business one is saved.

Do you have google backup running on the phone?
Then you can use that with whatsapp.
Does this help
connected to a TV or PC
To do this you need to access cast/mirror on the phone.
Since your phone has a busted screen and you cant see where you are to activate the cast/mirror it will be hard but not impossible
IF you can access the settings menu via keyboard shortcuts.

Yep, unfortunately is busted, completely as you can see.

I'm not really planning to get it fixed as I was quoted too much. I was suggested by Unihertz assistance to try connecting an otg mouse, *** knows how/if that would work.

The side buttons seem to work (I can glimpse the volume bar changing), and the sensor works as the display lights up, I think it navigates, plus there's also scrolling assistance via keyboard. I'm afraid I don't know anyone with this phone, it's very few of us left with these physical keyboard phones.

Have looked around.
It MIGHT be possible, BUT you will need a lot of time and patience.
LCD mirroring aside, what about to "only" access the files in it for now? I can see the phone works and charges, if I connect the USB though that's what it does by default (I believe it's all the same for all Android phones), it charges, only I can't toggle from the display "file transfer" of course, any other way to see the drive from the PC, there must be a way surely.

Yes backup was on and it did backup apps phone numbers contacts etc.. but not all the files stored, for example the downloads folder is empty.
Ouch so this debug mode to access the internal drive storage can be toggled exclusively from the phone?

I've read about adb that can let you access your phone simply by inserting it via USB to the PC, from there you use the DOS Prompt and give instructions to the phone. I can see my phone responding to the USB connection to PC (lights up when connected), although so far I can't see my phone listed when typing "adb devices", but maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'll keep documenting myself and see if I'm going anywhere. If anyone has experience with adb and fastboot do share.
