Hi Guys.
Need a bit of help from people who k ow more than I do. I want to be able to watch something from my laptop (old and no hdmi) and hook it up to my TV. I’ve bought an adaptor that goes into the USB on my laptop and then goes into my HDMI on TV.

when I connect it up, it shows the bottom on my laptop screen (the icons, but nothing else)

any ideas what I have to change and do or buy?

thanks guys.
Gareth

When I go on a page like google on my laptop. It still has the same picture on the TV. Doesn’t make a difference

May need to just drag and drop the window to the second screen. From the sound of it you are set with the TV being the extended display and until you put something there that is all that it will display.

With the window open showing on the laptop screen try pressing the Windows Key + P.

This will rotate you through the display settings

See if this helps
