Hi, recently my girlfriend was using her laptop when suddenly some of the keys on the bottom 2 rows stopped working. We have researched possible fixes and have tried such things as system restore and uninstalling the keyboard driver software and reinstalling etc but still the keys dont work. Does this mean it is a hardware problem?
We thought about buying a replacement keyboard from ebay or a online store but I haven't been able to find one that fits the model laptop. The model is hp laptop 14-bp0xx
here is a link to an image. https://webimg.secondhandapp.com/w-i-mgl/5dac4ea7e2400c14464b226f
As I haven't been able to find a replacement keyboard so far does this mean they are not available? or is it that you can't replace the keyboard in this model?
The laptop's warranty has already run out so we cant fix it that way. Any new suggestions on what steps to do next would be really appreciated :) Thanks

reboot Windows into Safe Mode and see if that helps (it's a long shot).
next try an external USB keyboard to check that can work, even if it's only until you sort out a replacement.

have you tried getting one directly from HP?
or from their nearest local authorised repair centre?
