My laptops fan is spinning, but wrong it keeps changing directions it spins in for about 5 seconds then completely stops spinning and 3 seconds later it starts all over again. Is it a internal problem with the fan, should i buy a new fan? (Msi GF65 small fan)

could be the fan itself or the header it connects to, which could be a motherboard fault.
but with the fan being the cheapest and easiest to replace, you'd have to start there first.
