I have a Tplink AX1500, it is IPV6 capable. Been working 3 years
My Desktop PC is :
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz 2.67 GHz
32.0 GB
So I purchased a CAT6 cable and connected it to my router. I couldn't access the internet.
So I went into Tether, the app provided by Tplink. Also, I have their range extender.
I reviewed the settings, and I enabled IPV6 as it was not enabled as I thought, and that was the main reason for choosing this model router,
After doing that, I tried again. Nothing. It was 11:30 P.M., so I thought I would call TPlink to see if we could resolve this quickly.
No dice. I called TPlink today. She had me change many settings and then declared my router out of warranty and needed repair. It worked fine with the borrowed laptop, same exact cat6 cable.
Tonight, I not only attempted to reinstall in windows the network adapter I also unchecked and rechecked and reinstalled TCP/IP Iv4.
I also removed the LAN cable and connected it to a laptop made in 2019 it works fine my Desktop PC sees the network cable, and the lights on my network card are yellow and green, That makes me think it will work it is an incorrect setting.

I need help and I am not sure where to go. I am trying to get this to work so I can work from home, and care for my 94 year old dad. Please. If someone can help. Im sorry. I just need help. This is so frustrating, my career 23 years ago was a help desk technician. I just have been out of the scene I got really really sick.

Here are my Event Log FIles, BEFORE I followed the directions on the sticky thread.

first up, let's make this as simple as possible.
in your PC network adapter, untick the IPv6 stuff.

check you IPv4 entry has no manual IP addresses or DNS server entries.
that is, set it to auto on both.

let's get @Malnutrition involved to flush the network settings.

Bruce, I inadvertently hit enter on my keyboard.
I have, and there has been no change.
I have screenshots of properties.
Unsure if you want them. It's a lot cleaner than the above mess, and for the record, I followed the pinned post and reset Winsock and ip.
Thank you for attempting to help
It feels hopeless, and I did not build my system, which makes it even more hopeless. I have scoured the BIOS; I made only ONE change AFTER it didn't initially work. Enabled Plug n Play in BIOS. When I shut down tonight, it is stupid late. Now I will disable it, Just for grinns

this is some of @Malnutrition troubleshooting tips.

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop.

Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator.
When the program opens select the following boxes:

Flush DNS
Report IE Proxy Settings
Reset IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
Reset FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP Configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Please post the log in your next reply

let's also get your complete PC specs.

download Speccy from here; https://www.piriform.com/speccy/builds
in Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
paste that link into a post.
One area Speccy doesn’t show is the Power Supply Unit, so also include the make/model of the PSU.
