So upon booting my system, all seems normal but as soon as I am required to enter my password to log into the device, the keyboard does not respond. However, my mouse responds and works perfectly fine.

Both keyboards are USB connected, yes. As for trying another port, both keyboards won't function still.

Have you tried the on screen keyboard?

What was changed and the last thing that was done with the system prior to this happening?
What changed was nothing from when I last used it. But I did allow my friend who used the PC to use the system who is a technical user so it is possible he's done something.

Also so this issue is now resolved. What happened was that one of my USB ports was deactivated from within the BIOS settings. I renabled it and it works as good as new!
