Hi,

I am having problems with the kernel mode heap corruption error. It happens when:

1) I connect my webcam with an USB cable (I use logitech c920).

2) I connect my CD room to my computer.

(Other usb-cables work, I.E. my computer mouse, keyboard and a bluetooth dongle (creative BT-W3))

3) When I start my PC, I need to manually press F11 and select the correct drive my windows is on in order to not get the error.

I have tried resetting my PC and tried several tips I have found on the internet. Wondering if any of you can help?

Hello Naho,

We may need you to upload any crash dmps that you may have and move your thread to the BSOD forum but before doing either lets see if we can help here first.

Please provide information about your computer, is it a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the motherboard, providing these details will enable folk to better assist you.

edit for 3: the error message if not selecting the correct drive is 0xc000000e, (Your PC/Device needs to be repaired), but it still starts fine if I press F11 an select the correct drive on startup. Sorry for the wrong information!

Hi, thx for the reply!

My computer is a custom build, the motherboard is x99a raider (ms-7885), by msi.

Thanks for the MB info and no worries as no harm done (y)

Only two checks that we can do here really and that is to make sure that you have the camera connected to a black USB 2.0 type port and not the faster blue USB 3.0 type and that have downloaded the correct software and any user guide for the camera from here

The CD ROM drive has purposely been omitted as the same USB type port info applies + we are best to stick with one device at a time.

Can I ask that you do not double post or quote every reply, thanks.

Thx for your feedback!
I can't download the drivers from logitechs site, as they only link to the G-hub. I didn't find a way to update since my computer can't find the device. The computer crashes if I plugg myt webcamera in, and also if it's plugged in during startup. I have made sure it's connected to a USB 2.0 type port.
I could not find my webcamera in device manager either.

Did you read all the information at the link provided, it says that you have to do a custom install of the software package that you download from here

How to install Logitech C920 Software in Windows 10 without CD

If you received the driver CD in the box, then use it, if not, then, check out our quick guide and you will be able to customize settings through Logitech gaming software.

  1. Click on the download button(s) above and finish downloading the required files. This might take from a few minutes to a few hours, depending on your download speed.
  2. Extract the downloaded files. You can extract through “Winrar software”
  3. Before continuing, make sure you have connected your HD pro webcam c920 with PC.
  4. Run “LGS_9.00.42_x86_Logitech.exe/LGS_8.82.151_x64_Logitech.exe” as an administrator and wait until the software to finish installing.
  5. You now have the latest version of Logitech gaming software, without any limitations, installed on your computer.
You are welcome btw :)
