Hey just wanted to see if i can get some help on what has caused this and how to fix.
turned my pc on and everything is working as normal but there is no colour at all everything is just grey black and white.
Things ive done to try to fix:
win + ctrl + c , its not grey scale
tried updating and reinstalling gpu drives
tried pulling out and changing the hdmi ports on monitor and gpu ( i dont think its the monitor because when i use the little buttons on the bottom of the monitor the menu and options are still in colour)

I think it could either be a problem with the hdmi cable or gpu its self but i have no way to test it with out going out and buying new hardware and thats why im here to see if anyone has had this problem or if anyone knows of a fix

ive had the pc and all hardware for around 2 and half years now have made no changes.

here are the specs:

Operating System
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 9400F @ 2.90GHz 31 °C
Coffee Lake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1330MHz (16-18-18-36)
Motherboard
Micro-Star International Co. Ltd. MAG B365M MORTAR(MS-7C67) (U3E1) 30 °C
Graphics

Yeah you are right I just sent the same image to my phone and its in colour, im not very tech savvy when its comes to pc stuff but that might help find out the problem. So everything i see is grey on the monitor but when i take a sceen shot and send it to a different divice everything seems fine and the colour is still there in the screen shot.

well, that just may be the weirdest thing I have heard of today.

you aren't wearing polaroid glasses or something?

In no particular order things, you can attempt.

Try a different monitor.

Try a different cable between the monitor and system.

Reseat the GPU

Reseat the power for the GPU.

What happens when you connect to a TV set is there color.

Hey bud, it seems to be a problem with the monitor its self I got a new display port cable today because I was not sure if it was the old hdmi cable or the monitor because I did hook a old laptop up to my monitor with said hdmi cable and everything was still grey. And that kind of narrowed it down to being a problem with the cable or the monitor and it sucks but is much better then if it was a problem with the gpu, Im still going to try to find a fix though.
