Sometimes when I'm just using my desktop, the wifi will cut out, but it's only for my specific connection that i use (I think). When this happens some things will still run, such as skype, but i cannot load a new page or anything. This can be solved sometimes by disconnecting from my connection and reconnecting exactly 3 times. but sometimes when i click disconnect it will get stuck, and then i will have to restart. Most of the time in League of Legends, my ping will be at 64 and then spike to around 200 and then hover around there then it will occasionally go back to 64. This can only be fixed by restarting my computer and sometimes it will not help the situation at all.
I have already updated my drivers and it seems like it has mitigated the situation but hasn't fixed it completely.
Also, sometimes when I start up my computer, there will be occasions when there are no internet connections found, and then there's other times where my own connection that i use cannot be found. This can be solved by restarting once or maybe a couple of times. Can anyone help me find a permanent solution to this problem?

Does this happen with any other WiFi device and does this happen if the system is wired to the modem?

It is better, but there are still some high ping spikes every couple of seconds.
This does not happen to any other wifi device and i cannot wire my desktop to the modem.

Let run the System File Checker.

To run System File Checker (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10): (with out the quotes)
1.Click the Start button.
2.Type "command" in the search box... DO NOT hit ENTER yet!
3.While holding CTRL-Shift on your keyboard, hit ENTER.
4.You will be prompted with a permission dialog box.
5.Click Yes.
6.A black box will open with a blinking cursor.
7.Type "sfc /scannow" and hit ENTER.
8.System File Checker will begin scanning for system file problems (be patient - the system scan may take a while).
9.Follow the on-screen commands.

It says "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" and there is still a couple of lag spikes.

Check the Date and Time on you system make sure that is set properly. While time settings typically don't affect internet connectivity, however if it is significantly off, certificates can show as expired or not yet valid, causing browser warnings.

This does not happen to any other wifi device and i cannot wire my desktop to the modem.
If one is a computer please run the following command and paste the results from the text file. The text file will be called ipconfig.txt and should be on your desktop.

Open an Command Prompt and type or Copy and Paste
Then Press Enter

ipconfig /all >%userprofile%\desktop\ipconfig.txt

What Anti Malware, Anti Virus, and any other security software are you running currently on the system?

Open an Administrator command prompt
Click on Start and in the text box type CMD
Right Click on CMD and select Run as Administrator

Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each command:

nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR
ipconfig /flushdns

Reboot the system and try the connection to see if that improves it at all.

You lease for your ip is set to one hour logon to the router. Set it to 7 days, it will stop renewing so often. Set dns to 208.67.220.220 & 208.67.222.222

Have you tried this yet? Did it help?

Please open an Administrator Command Prompt

Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each command:

netsh int reset all
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
netsh int ipv6 reset
netsh int ipv4 reset
netsh winsock reset

Reboot the computer and see if this helps.

I entered these commands and restarted my computer and for the first couple of minutes, it was not laggy, however after a couple of minutes the lag resumed, so I restarted my computer.
Upon restarting my computer, the first couple of seconds there was a red "X" next to my wifi connection thingy, but then it connected to my internet shortly after. The lag was not prevalent this time.

Mine does that sometimes.

Were you able to check and see if the modem was transmitting a WiFi signal?

Are there any other devices connecting to the router WiFi or wired?

The modem is transmitting a WiFi signal. There are 3 computers connected and 1 phone connected, however, most of the time there's 2 computers connected to the WiFi.

Are the TCP setting the same on all of the system?
The reason for asking is your DNS server setting only allow one to two being online at any given time.
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 209.18.47.62
209.18.47.61

If you are unsure type this command in a command prompt on the systems and look under DNS Servers

IPConfig /all

The modem is transmitting a WiFi signal.
Then disable it and only have the router supplying the WiFi signal and see if that helps any.

Disabling Internet Protocol Version 6 can some help stabilizing the connection.

Windows 10

Step 1:
Right-click the Network

SF141017-002_EN_v3.png

Step 2:

SF141017-003_EN_v3.png

Step 3:
Right-click on the Wireless Connection icon and click Properties.

Step 4:
On the Wireless Connection Properties window, select Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and remove the check mark.

Step 5:
Click OK.

Open an elevated command prompt and type the following command and then press enter.

netsh interface teredo set state disabled

If it ask you to reboot go ahead and reboot. Test for a while if it does not help or makes it worse then by following the instructions and putting the check mark back in will enable the Internet Protocol Version 6.
