Just built a new pc and set up this aio cooler. I have the same one on my gf's pc and it has no issues and runs with max gaming temp 80, normally just above 70 °C and idle on that pc is around 30-45 °C (Cpu on that one is Intel Core i5-12600K). Weird that on this pc the same aio is not working right. What is the issue on this? Do i have it plugged onto the wrong place or something? Or does my CPU require better cooling?
I connected the case fans in chain like each to each other (4x) and so on, they work fine and i can control them from the motherboard bios, no issues there.
Then the AIO itself i plugged first into the CPU fan1 slot and then into the CPU fan2/wp and i could change in the bios that CPU fan2 to water pump and control that. Temps are still high. AIO fans i set them in bios to go with the cpu temp, i hear the fans speeding up, speeding down constantly. I have no clue what is the issue here. Need help.

Is this the cooler you have?

A few things I noticed:

1. You have AVG Antivirus installed, one of our senior member has a whole list on reasons why this is bad, but the short of it is that Windows Defender is adequate for 90% of people + it doesn't gunk up your Windows load.

2. You have the power plan set to high performance, this is a form of overclocking and can cause instabilities/overheating, we only recommend this for gaming laptops where they need the extra power.

3. Windows was installed within the last 24 hours, but it looks like drivers were neglected, the installation should go as follows- Windows, Chipset, Sata/Storage, Graphics, any others, Windows updates. It is critical that the PC is not connected to internet before the drivers are loaded, otherwise Windows will load basic drivers which are not the best for performance machines.

Removed AVG, i can see that.

Set the power plan to balanced.

I installed latest bios update from asrock website and used usb to usb flashback when i built this pc, also when i launched this pc and got past windows install, asrock popped up after login and asked to install some driver updater thing and it downloaded some drivers, Realtek audiodrivers etc. Do i need more drivers? And how? Cant find that ssd driver anywhere.

Also set the PUMP to run at 100% in bios, it seems to have helped a bit, getting a small decrease in temperature.

Sorry i am not the best at this.

This is the one im using.

This video that compares cpu's suggest more cooling needed.(5mins 30sec into video).
The only way to tell if the aio has an issue is to swap it out with the other computer.
Good luck convincing you GF to allow that.

What thermal paste did you use?
Did you put just a thin layer of paste?
Alphacool Silver Grease
Have used that before too. Works fine. And a decent layer. Not too thin not too much. Also repasted this 2 times. 1st installation used the thermal paste that came with the cooler.

Also the AIO Fans are connected to Chassis fan 4 if remember correctly.
One of the fans has a bit of a rattle. Small noise coming off it and its wobbling a little bit.

Yeah i think the problem was with the AIO i had. I just got Corsair H100 RGB, 240mm and it works way better ,i installed and tested different fan slots on the MB and seems like the CPU fan slot works best, not 100% sure but going with it now, temps are lower but not as i would want it to be. I'm surviving with it now and soon upgrading it to 280mm AIO, that is the max my case can fit, at least on the top. I could install it to the front but i don't know.

Any recommends for the 280mm AIO's? I was thinking this one:

Corsair iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX XT, 280mm AIO

Corsair so far is a bit more reliable for me and easy to install.
