I recently built my first gaming pc for Christmas and I was pretty proud of myself all the way up until it kept crashing.

Specs
Intel I7-12700k (cooled by Noctua nh-d15)
MSI Z690 Pro-A DDR4 (not WIFI)
MSI Ventus RTX 3060 12gb
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32gb DDR4 @ 3800 (2 x 16gb in dual channel)
1tb Samsung 980 Pro Heatsink
Corsair 4000D Airflow
Asus PCE-AX58BT
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit

After troubleshooting and looking stuff up, I have fixed most of the small issues with the pc like enabling xmp in the bios and making sure the pc shuts down properly to avoid error codes. But, no matter what change I make, whether it be lowering settings or even lowering my CPU oc, it just seems like nothing works

The Problem (best way I could put it)
I can play most games pretty well, but whenever I have discord open and am in a call, almost on cue whether something major happens in the game I am playing or sometimes just after around 25-30min, my connection completely times out and it kicks me from whatever game I am playing and I have to leave and rejoin the discord call several times for it to reconnect (it says I am in the call, but I can neither speak nor hear anyone else speak). I have pretty fast WIFI with speeds fluctuating from 65mbps all the way up to the highest I have seen it at 800mbps. I do have lots of smart devices in my home like several smart switches and plugs, a smart tv, smart fridge (sorta), ecobees, a Roomba, several smartphones, a very strong origin laptop, and an Amazon Alexa.

My Questions
What is my issue?
Should I take some the smart devices off the internet to decrease latency?
Should I switch to a wired ethernet connection?
Should I switch to a motherboard with integrated WIFI?

g'day and welcome to the forums.

let get your complete setup for starters.
get Speccy from here; https://www.piriform.com/speccy/builds
in Speccy, click File > Publish Snapshot > Copy to Clipboard > Close.
now you can paste (Ctrl+V) that link into a post.

One component Speccy doesn’t cover is the Power Supply Unit, so please also include the make/model of the PSU.

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C: File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 00844227
Size: 930 GB
Used Space: 864 GB (92%)
Free Space: 65 GB (8%)

Here is an issue that need to be resolved.
Another thing you may want to look into is low disk space for the C drive. About 30-35 % available plus for windows to run properly plus 32 GB available for Windows to update. Then there is also reserved around 7-10 GB. The less space the harder the drive has to work to store data including temp files that they system uses for the program running on you C drive.

thx for the input ill try this out to see if it runs better

edit: I now have 208gb of free space and I eventually plan to get either a sata drive or another nvme ssd

Post a second speccy report when you get it completed.

Not the proper RAM for the system see also if disabling XMP helps.

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32gb DDR4 @ 3800 (2 x 16gb in dual channel)

Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type)
128 GB
Memory Types
Up to DDR5 4800 MT/s
Up to DDR4 3200 MT/s

What release of BIOS is installed.

Thx for the specs I didn't know that, I have msi click bio 5

I just checked my drivers and all of the z690 drivers are properly installed and up to date, in other words, I did something right :)

I still ran into an issue while running ROBLOX of all things, I had no other applications open and after around 30 ish minutes I got internet timed out from out of nowhere, this didn't seem to be an issue while running rainbow but I did see lots of rubber banding near the end of the game.
I have yet to disable xmp and will do so in a moment to see if it is problem, although, my mem in bios is set to auto speeds and rated my ram at 3600.

Thx for the help so far I have seen improvements in my system but I have yet to pinpoint the main issue.

Where are we now?
I think that the computer has been running more reliably as of late. I have yet to actually put it test because I have been kind of busy but I plan to test it soon. One thing to note is that the reliability history has been trending up and there have been no failures like a failed windows update.
