  • Hello everyone We want to personally apologize to everyone for the downtime that we've experienced. We are working to get everything back up as quickly as possible. Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

It says when I start the game a pop up page that reads: "Because you're accessing sensitive info, We need to verify your password." It wants me to log into an old email that I no longer have access to, and when I click "sign in with a different Microsoft account" nothing happens it just keeps repeating the same page where it tells me to enter a password to an account I can no longer access. I wish to reset all data for the game. Could anyone please tell me how to do that?

Who have you installed the game through? Steam, Epic, Microsoft Store, etc?

It says the following:

We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account ca**6@gmail.com. Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously, and our commitment to protecting your personal information requires that we take the utmost care in ensuring that you are the account owner.

Please submit a new account verification form

At this point, your best option is to submit a new form with as much accurate information as you can gather. The more information you can include in the form, the better the chance you’ll have of regaining access to your account. We’ve included a few tips below to help you fill out the form as completely and accurately as possible.

I can guide you through deleting the game on Steam, but I am unable to assist with account recovery as it goes against the rules. Please contact Microsoft about this, maybe they can sort things out.

Right click the game in your Steam library

Select Manage > Uninstall

Reinstall the game

If this does not fully reset the game files you may have Steam Cloud enabled, and should try disabling it and repeating the steps above.

Note: This will delete everything, make sure you are willing to lose whatever you have on your system as it cannot be assumed it will not be altered.

I tried reinstalling the game and it was still asking me to sign into an account that I no longer had access to before allowing me to play the game, but I also factory reset my computer and I no longer have access to my Steam account since I can't use the email it's associated to. So unfortunately I won't be able to fix the problem. Thanks for the help anyway!👍

You could reach out to the email provider and ask if they can provide you assistance with account recovery, but as per the rules I am unable to assist with this.

Good luck!

I tried contacting Microsoft but they weren't able to provide a real person for me to talk to and the virtual agent was not helpful on the matter either. Thanks anyways.👍

Here is another suggestion.

Have you tried the forum section, chat, and or call them?

  • Halo Support cannot assist with network, hardware or purchase issues. You’ll need to go to Xbox Support for that.

I can't log into the Halo Waypoint support site which is what it's saying. I don't have the credentials to the email that I need to use to login. I also tried calling Microsoft and I wasn't able to reach an actual specialist but they sent me to a virtual agent which didn't help me recover my Microsoft account since it only had other support options that were irrelevant.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do assist with this you will have to contact Microsoft support.

They have forums and online chat that you can use. Even if you have to create a new Microsoft account to do this.
