Hello, I have a pc upstairs connected to the internet through a cable. The wifi upstairs is terrible I wanted something I can plug into my pc that gives of a wifi signal allowing devices to connect to the internet using my PC internet connection, like a hotspot.
Any ideas on what I can buy that will allow this?
Thanks
Pazor

Welcome to PCHF Pazoruk,

If your wi-fi signal is bad upstairs you need something like the example range extender here

Before making any purchase you should check that you are getting what you for from your ISP, an old router for example will give you a weak signal and an entry level router will only be good for up to two devices.

Edit to add, if your PC does not have a wireless device you will need to also purchase a wireless USB dongle to plug into your PC, an alternative would be an internal NIC card.
