This feels like an impossible problem, I have tried everything but I can’t figure it out so I’m turning to the forums

This laptop worked fantastic when I first got it MW ran like a champ and held around 100-144 FPS on high settings, all of a sudden one day I was getting major FPS drops down to about 30 and below this issue ended up somehow resolving itself

The next time this happened is when I really kicked into gear of trying to figure out what was going on. I am well aware that Cyberpunk is not a very well optimized game, however I know by now that it’s not the game that’s causing these drops. Here’s a list of things I’ve tried doing to fix the drops in this game:

1. disable Xbox applications through the registry
2. Any and every combination of graphical settings
3. “Best settings” for Nvidia Control Panel
4. Rolled back driver
5. Verified integrity
6. Played in a cooler area
7. Overclocking

You get the point.

One thing I did notice however is that whenever the FPS dropped it was always after my GPU usage hit 99% and the MHz would go from 1000-1300 range to 960 solid. There should be a picture at the bottom that shows this happening during one of my gameplays

I got Outer worlds a few days ago and just started playing it tonight and it’s happening again 100-144+ all the way down to 22-30 and I’m fed up with it.

Am I bottlenecked?
Is my 2000$ laptop just a POS and I should upgrade to a desktop?

For the love of *** someone please help me.

I had to shorten the picture I hope it’s still useful

whenever GPU usage hits 99-100 CPU usage does the opposite and drops

Is your laptop still under warranty? My guess is the gpu is causing the issue..

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
