Hi everyone. I hope you can help me work out why my games are crashing. Setup: RTX2070, i7-9700k, 16GB RAM, 750W power supply.
The issue I'm having is a bit odd- I'll be playing Project Cars 2 in Oculus VR and getting a consistent 80fps, but then out of nowhere the image freezes completely. It sounds like the game is still running in the background, but the image gets stuck and kinda shudders a bit (this is not just for a few seconds, it gets completely and permanently stuck). The only way to escape is to quit oculus vr or end through task manager. This has also happened in normal (not VR) gameplay, but not as often.
I've had this issue with BF5 too, but instead of the game freezing it just completely crashes and closes. Again before this happens I will have been playing for a while and achieving a consistent 60FPS.
Admittedly the graphics settings on both are cranked up quite high, but surely if that was the issue then I wouldn't be getting 60-80FPS consistently for such a long time before it crashes/freezes?
Any opinions? Thanks in advance!
