Hello I need Help bad. I received a message on my pc when i started it up after connecting a new keyboard and mouse to it. The message was similar to the image attached. Idk if it was because of the keyboard and mouse i plugged in. i read online it might me the cmos battery on my motherboard so i replaced it and still nothing. i’m pretty sure i plugged in everything correctly but the pc turns on, fans running everything seems fine, but keyboard and mouse don’t light up and nothing shows up on the screen. not my screens problem for sure. my motherboard is asus prime b250m-a.

Are the mouse & keyboard plugged in via USB, Bluetooth or the old P/S2?
Usually adding a new keyboard (or mouse/touchpad) won’t affect drives unless you unplugged these for some reason & this is usually done for laptops not desktops.
Did you disconnect the hard drives for some reason? If so are these fully inserted again?
Did you try booting without the keyboard & mouse?
How old is the hard drive?
I suspect the hard drive which contains Windows is failing so you should image the drive immediately just in case you need to format the drive or it fails completely.

Ok so my mouse and keyboard are plugged in through usb from the rear end. I got this pc as a gift already built so i’m not really knowledgeable of what i’m doing and what i’m looking at. I did try booting without keyboard and mouse and still no display so i don’t think that’s the problem. This is my hard drive. It doesn’t seem crazy old i think it says from 2015.

and also, can my hard drive not working really be the cause for my computer not sending power to the keyboard mouse or even to the hdmi? i probably did harm the computer cuz i turned it off wrong a bunch of times. is the problem the power supply? that’s all i can think of it being. power seems to run fine however. or is my motherboard
 
The Hard drive contains all the drivers required, so if it isn’t working then yes It’s possible.
Do the devices work in safe mode?
Do they work in the recovery environment if you use the Windows installation media (or any other USB boot drive) to boot the PC?
Forcing the PC to shutdown can & will corrupt the hard drive, if you’re lucky a chkdsk will fix it if not then the drive is damaged.
Open powershell with admin & enter:
chkdsk C: /spotfix
