Hi all,

Had my internet upgraded today and so thought I'd run a speed test. On my phone my WiFi shows full signal and around 140mbps (which is pretty much spot on), yet on my computer - in the same room - the signal strength is 2 out of 5 bars and the speed test is showing less than 10mbps!

This isn't actually a new problem, it's been going on for a while with my computer with the low speed and terrible signal strength, but I'm sick of it now. Is there any settings etc. that could be causing this or is the built in motherboard WiFi just ****? It's an MSI Gaming Edge X570 WiFi motherboard and the adapter shows as "Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168".

Cheers.

Lets start with this

Have you rebooted the modem?

Are you connecting to 5G or 2.4G?
