Some time ago i bought couple of headphones and one new headset. All of the new headphones and the headset have trrs jack, and neither work on my pc- the quality is absolute garbage but when i plug in my old headset- trs, the audio is just fine. Pls help

  • Remove All usb connected items from the computer, only leave the mouse and keyboard installed.
  • Download drivecleanup.zip to your desktop.
  • CLICK HERE to determine whether you’re running 32-bit or 64-bit for Windows.
  • Once the determination has been made, open either the 32-bit or 64-bit folder.
  • Right Click the .exe on the inside of the folder, and Run as Administrator.
  • A command prompt window will open, telling you what has been removed upon completion.
  • Reboot your machine.
  • Check the issue.

Remove any remaining devices with this tool. Then reboot.
Download Device Cleanup Tool

Im sorry, is there any website for the tool? I dont like downloading files and tools i know nothing about

I believe so yes.Run both tools to clean up old drivers and then reboot the computer and test new one.

Can you make a screen shot of what is detected for removal by both tools please.

Enable the admin account. It is a hidden admin account that you need to enable and test from it. I didn’t mean to run the tools as admin, I mean test the headphones from within that account once enabled to rule out profile corruption.

Considering you have posted nothing about the hardware in the system hard to really advise properly.

lets start with the speccy report then we can go for there.

Do not forget to post the make and model of the PSU if this is a desktop.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Thanks, the motherboard shows separate for the Mic and Speaker/Headset so the adapter is needed and would help.

Have used them before and have zero issues.

What are the make and model of the headsets.
