Hi Guys,
So just did a major upgrade to PC and everything was fine, i used the same HDD from my old computer so did not upgrade this. i instead purchased an NVMe SSD Drive (1TB)
I installed the SSD and suddenly had problems. My computer would not boot up straight away. My HDD was no longer recognised and in the Boot menu i disabled the boot priority as it was UEFI Ipv6 or something, and my windows then booted.
So i then attempted to clone my HDD to SSD and had an error 1117 i/o device error. but when i looked the files have been transferred over, all the documents are there on the SSD.
When i click 'My Pc' it ofcourse shows you how much is remaining and how much is taken in your drives, they are identical but the Windows icon is on the top of the C drive (HDD) so i assume windows is still installed on this? Anyway, i went to BIOS again, and HDD drive is still not being shown, and it actually says its booting from my Adlink SSD.
(the boot is still really slow mind you)
Should i just format the HDD as i still want this for game downloads etc and have the SSD as boot drive.
Or should i just download windows on a usb and wipe everything? i dont have anything that valuable, only time of downloads (like 200gb call of duty)
Or any other suggestion would be great. thank you!
