Ever since i bought my new monitor (Acer Preditor GN246HL) I have been getting weird green pixels all over half my screen, i was wondering if this could be my graphics card causing the problem. Should I upgrade to an RX 570?

Some of the info above is out of wack, no VRAM detected and Windows shown to have been installed in 1970 - OS Install Date: Jan 01 1970.

Does the problem happen if you start the computer in Safe Mode.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

We are always happy to help when we can but we cannot safely do so if you are already receiving assistance on any other forum, doing so may lead to confusion as to whose and what guidance you are following which can be both dangerous and costly, decide on which forum you wish to continue and as a courtesy let the other/s know that assistance is no longer required.

Speccy is showing that you have no AV protection and that Windows needs to be updated, you need to address both before anything else as one of the patches could fix your problem + you are putting yourself at risk of malware attack when Windows is out of date and you have no AV protection.

Other than the above, for now the suggestions are the same as you have had elsewhere, try earlier drivers, try another screen or the predator screen on another computer such as a notebook and/or try another video cable.

You missed answering the two questions asked;

I wish to continue on this forum.

I still get this problem in safe mode.

I have a Thermaltake TR2 Challenger 500W as my PSU.

I get the same problem on a different computer, half of the screen is green.

I do run MalwareBytes scans every week or so

How would I go about using earlier drivers?
 
No problem but as said, as a courtesy let the other forums know that you no longer require their assistance.

Being the same in safe mode suggests that it is not a driver issue.

Thermaltake are not on the recommended list of PSUs but the PSU is obviously not the problem as the screen is half green on another computer.

When you tried the screen on another computer did you use a different video cable, if yes it suggests that your screen is bad, if no, try another video cable.

Running MBAM once is week is a good idea but only if you have an AV program also protecting your computer, MBAM (free) is only an on demand scanner that is used to try and catch anything that may have gotten past your real time protection.

No point in worrying about drivers as the green screen is hardware related, you have proven this by the problem being present in both safe mode and on another computer.

No need to quote every reply btw, it is not necessary and doesn't help any, only makes for more reading.
 
Alright, so should I get a refund for my monitor?

Btw, do you know any good graphics card that could work with my system?
 
If you used a different video cable when testing on the other computer than the one that you are and have been using on your computer then you should return the Predator screen, under no circumstances should you return the screen without first trying a known good video cable, if you do and it turns out that it was the video cable that was bad you will have gone through a lot of time, trouble and expense for nothing.

Plenty of good video cards that will work on your system, before we can suggest one we will need to know your maximum budget.

If upgrading the video card you should get a better PSU, got to be honest I wouldn't use the present one other than for testing purposes.

i can spend 280 pounds, can I upgrade both my GPU and PSU with that? i was thinking about getting a RX 570
 
Not possible with that budget I`m afraid and for what you would be paying you can get better than the RX 570, least expensive RX 570 I could find here
