Could anyone suggest how to get rid of or stop my Netflix program. I got hacked and at the moment I cannot even log into the Netflix to go about cancelling it. It still works on my tv but I do not want to continue using it while the other persons are as well. Any ideas please.

The quicker you regain access to your account the more likely you can stop further actions.
For example, going down the 'forgot password' option should send a reset password link to your email but if someone else has logged into your account they may be changing that email address to something else.

If it still works on your TV, you must be logged in, therefore you should be able to change the account password.

You can also call and explain your situation.

I meant to mention, I am based in the UK.

That is the thing I do not understand Bruce. I still have the program on my tv, but when I go to open the email and password to chang and cancel , it just does not let me. It also does not seem to show in my bank account payments either ? .

So clicking your avatar icon in Netflix doesn't let you manage your profile, or go into Account settings?
As Mal has suggested, may be time to ring the support number. And prepare for a long journey down a rabbit hole!

Hi Bruce, my appolegy. I got that wrapped up in trying to fix this it completely slipped my mind. To get me up and running again, I installed Linux Mint. It is working a treat at the moment. I now need wipe my hard drive and install windows. That in its self is another ball game altogether. At 80 I am still learning and do not mind saying so. Thank you all so much for the help I received. All the very best.

Yes Defo. To tell you the truth Bruce, I have been scratching my head here for days trying all sorts of things to get back to Windows. My latest idea, was to get a live Linux cd and try and delete the Linux system with that. I was afraid however that I might not have the files to install the Windows system. I know it is in MBR and I thought I might need to be able to change that to AGP. In windows that was quite easy with a program like AOMI or a mini program like it. I think. Here I just do not know how to get into the management system in order to even delete the { ???? } Sorry I cannot remember the word I need. It is when I reduced the Hard drive in two. Laugh, I will probably remember this in an hours time. Lordy , it is no laughing matter getting a bit older, lol. Anyway Bruce, I will stop here and not continue to bore you too much. But I do appreciate any help or advice you can give me. All the best.
