Hi, (I have an old account here, but I can't access it, as can't access my email that you ask for to re-verify me)

I tried to log into Facebook recently and they said suspicious activity and wanted my stored card details in Facebook to verify my ID. I read online and all seemed legit and OK web address, so I did it.

Day or so later, my Facebook was hacked, may be coincidence I dunno. No money has gone from my bank.

Losing my Facebook is bad, but even worse is I had logins inside my Facebook to various websites and even my betting websites with like $2,000 in, which they wiped out. I may be able to prove it wasn't me on the betting website and get the $2k back, not sure. Guess I can prove the IP is different to any I have used before, so I didn't actually use the $2k they wiped out?

My Hotmail email and also Google account may also be hacked. I'm not sure, as they said suspicious activity and now require me to prove I own the accounts, but this has happened many times before. Facebook are terrible, no customer support and no help, despite being a multibillion pound company. And their account recovery is confusing and little help. I messed up and didn't have a phone number attached, so no 2 step verification on sites. Hotmail are equally as annoying, as I can't find customer support and to recover account they ask questions that relate to old info, irrelevant info and online activity that it is impossible to remember, as I created the account 20-25 odd years go.

I have and ran Malwarebytes, AVIRA, AVN etc on my PC and removed the few threats it said. I changed which passwords I could, but didn't have a chance to change the website with $2,000 in.

1. How do I stop this happening again in future, what is everything I can do to protect myself. Obviously I will get a phone number and setup 2 step verification for everything.

2. How do I know how I was hacked and how do I know my PC is safe to continue using?

3. Are there any tips or support contacts I can use to help recover my Facebook, Gmail and Hotmail accounts?

I just did a scan using emsisoft emergency kit and it only found 1 threat, a trojan in a dll file called ATKEX.dll which i think is a motherboard file
