CPU Ryzen 5 5600x
MOBO ASRock B550M Phantom 4
RAM 32GB 3600HZ
GPU Gigabyte 4070 Super
PSU 650W
So i upgraded from a GTX 1070 to a 4070Super and i got micro-stutter so every few minutes, there is random stutter. It last around fraction of a second, major fps drops in gunfights from 280-300 to 180-200. when i installed the gpu i did use ddu. I use the Ryzen master for cpu , its on auto overclocking and the in the bios xmp is enabled.
Other games i tryed run fine: Elden ring,Farming Sim25, Rainbow Six Siege,War thunder,Delta Force, Asseto COrsa,Squad etc.
In cs2 with the Ichill 1070 i was running at around 260-300 fps on Low 1080p, with ocasionl fps drops during fight/near smokes. It feels smoother with the 4070S but i expected better, 1080 competition settings 300-350 fps and lows to 160-180.

I did try to cap it at 250fps ,i got a 240hz monitor., but there are still fps drops and i cant figure it out why.

Some trouble shooting steps...

Use NVIDIA Control Panel:
  • Set Power Management Mode to "Prefer Maximum Performance"
  • Disable V-Sync
  • Set Vertical Sync to "Fast"

BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  • Reset BIOS to default, then re-enable XMP
  • Check PCIe settings are set to Gen 3 or Auto

Windows Settings:

  • Disable Game Bar and Game DVR
  • Turn off Background Apps
  • Disable Windows Game Mode
  • Use this firewall app to ensure that only your game and browser are connected to the internet while playing.
  • Debloat the machine a bit with This tool.

Additional Optimization:

I just checked , its a 600W bronze Rated , well i did a little bit of reasech and i thought 600W its on the limit .
I was gonna upgrade the psu, cpu, mobo and ram in the future, but if i change the psu now to a better one, will it increase the performance?

I followed all the steps above and it runs better now.

Your GPU needs a minimum of a 700W or above Gold efficiency rated PSU from one of the following, Corsair RM range, EVGA, Seasonic or Super Flower, seven year warranty minimum but preferably ten.

Because of the number of additional devices you have I would suggest an 850W unit.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: Bitsum Highest Performance

Strongly suggest that you change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues and a weak PSU such as the one that you have will get hotter and weaker the more that you use it.

So i got a new problem i cant seem to figure it out, keyboard doesnt work.

So the screen went black while i was playing a game, restaeted then got the blue screen, i cant acces the bios, neither enter automatic repair since the keyboard doesnt work.

I'm with Phill, that is a junk PSU and needs to be replaced immediately before we pursue any other troubleshooting that could cause damage.

Post the exact model of GPU that way we can determine your required PSU.

    700W

A minimum of a 700W 80+ Gold PSU is required.

A PSU is a place where overbuying is okay, it's better to leave yourself a bit of headroom as opposed to just skating by the line.

This is a great resource for comparing the units available to you/in your region- nothing short of an A-Tier unit should be used on machine with a dedicated gpu for gaming.
