  • Hello everyone We want to personally apologize to everyone for the downtime that we've experienced. We are working to get everything back up as quickly as possible. Due to the issues we've had, your password will need to be reset. Please click the button that says "Forgot Your Password" and change it. We are working to have things back to normal. Emails are fixed and should now send properly. Thank you all for your patience. Thanks, PCHF Management

I recently reset my Lenovo laptop to factory settings to resolve some issues, which worked. But documents that I created in Open Office (my preferred word processing app) are now recalled in Microsoft Word by default. I uninstalled the Office App (it no longer shows in my app list), rebooted, but documents continue to come up in Word. How can I make Open Office my "default" word processing program?

Good morning :)

Go to the bottom of the taskbar where it says Type here to search.

Type Default and select Choose a default app for each type of file. You'll then scroll down until you find the .doc* files

All you have to do is change them to match the image above :)

See if this may help as well

Go to the settings screen
Select Apps
on the left side select Default Apps
scroll down the right side and select Default By App
Find the Application and select it
select Manage
