Hi,
I bought a PC late 2017 and have been running into a repeat issue the last several months which only seems to happen when I'm playing games (isn't specific to any one; will happen with about any newer game).
Problem:
After about 45 - 75 minutes of play, the screen just goes completely blue (blank) and the sound freezes. After a few seconds the screen then just goes black and the sound stops/mutes. However the PC stays on and I have to turn the power off for a few seconds to get it to snap out and boot up.
I thought it was heat so I cleaned the dust from all the filters and fans but it made no difference. When it crashes the PC seems to make a slight change in pitch (fan speed?) kind of just like it does when it boots up but during the crash I have used a flashlight to check all the fans and everything looks to be spinning okay (including the PSU). Nothing seems very hot to the touch either; its warm but nothing unexpected.
The main problem is there is no crash report. How do I collect more detail on what is happening during these crashes so that I can solve it?
I was wondering if its just some weird graphics card failure.
