Hi guys hoping someone can guide me in the right direction here. I am normally able to fix issues myself but this one I need help with.
Bought a new PC a year ago, and have played many games (WoW, ark survival, No man's sky, factorio and similar) on highest settings with no problems . These last few weeks I have been playing 7 days to die and factorio space age again on the highest settings. Yesterday I took a break from gaming for a few hours and when I came back to playing 7 days to die, the gameplay was quite jumpy. As in it kept freezing for a second every 15-20 seconds. I lowered the graphics settings on the game and no difference. I loaded factorio and same thing was happening. In fact factorio just crashed and vanished off the screen when I tried running across the map!
I have updated graphics and processor drivers and updated nvidia ge force programs etc, and also anyivirus/malware. Still happening and I don't know where to turn next.
System info
Windows 11 64bit
12th gen Intel core i7-12700
Nvidia geforce rtx 4070
Kingston snv2s2000g drive
32gb ram
Any ideas of where to turn next? Any diagnostic program I can run to figure out what is causing the problem?
Tia!
